To see Borth in all its splendour is to meander down the steep hill coming from Clarach, and wonder at the delight of the Cambrian Mountains, Cors Fochno and Aberdovey. On a clear day, if you look out to sea, you can see the majestic Snowdon and other peaks within the Snowdonian National Park. Lower Borth and Ynyslas sit on a pebbled spit. When driving or walking down from Clarach, the imagery of the old fishermen’s cottages, the Victorian / Edwardian houses, and even the more recent houses situated along the coastline give the impression of a magnificent runway.
